Mohamed Zouari's work contains color, form, and words, but it also opens onto a field of light that can only be perceived through attentive reading and deep concentration. His painting brings together singular and varied energies that allow him to reach the universal. Mohamed Zouari's most remarkable quality is the power of color. A born colorist, he is able, through this innate gift, to absorb influences and visual languages with great freedom. Like every authentic painter, he has succeeded in shaping a personal style through which he conveys his message. Mohamed Zouari stands among the major visual artists of contemporary Tunisia. He has achieved the rare feat of reconciling writing and painting, the readable and the visible.

Dr. Mustapha Chelbi The Fine Arts Album

Through vivid, joyful colors inspired by Tunisian weaving, through signs drawn from traditional symbolism and Arabic calligraphy, and through his bold engagement with Miro, Mondrian, Vasarely, Kandinsky, and Hundertwasser, Mohamed Zouari rightfully aspires to the universal. He allows himself to be shaped by many cultures in order to bring forth a new style that affirms him as a creator of space. Mohamed Zouari invents a new world. He brings fresh energy to Tunisian painting and opens it to new questions.
